Non-EVM Chains
While we currently focus on EVM-compatible chains, we're expanding to support Non-EVM ecosystems. Learn about the differences and let us know which chains you'd like us to support.
What are Non-EVM Chains?
Non-EVM chains are blockchain networks that do not use the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) as their execution environment. Instead, they implement their own virtual machines, programming languages, and smart contract architectures. While EVM chains share compatibility and can easily port applications between networks, Non-EVM chains offer unique features, performance characteristics, and developer experiences.
Key Differences
EVM Chains
- • Solidity programming language
- • Ethereum Virtual Machine execution
- • Cross-chain compatibility
- • Standardized token formats (ERC-20, ERC-721)
- • Examples: Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base
Non-EVM Chains
- • Custom programming languages (Rust, Move, etc.)
- • Native virtual machines
- • Unique architecture & features
- • Chain-specific token standards
- • Examples: Solana, Cosmos, Polkadot, Sui, Aptos
